This isn't always helpful because I can't write them down. Then I always seem to lose them as soon as I'm parking the car. Drive time is best for resolving a familiar question and won't have trouble recalling when needed. I'm less lucky when I don't have time for them. For example, trying to listen intently to someone, or trying to get to sleep. While terribly inconvenient, these moments are easily the most fertile for my thoughts.
